AGDER UNIVERSITY FLUTE ENSEMBLE (AUFE) was founded in 2008 at the suggestion of fluteteacher Hege Katinka Ludvigsen and Associate Professor of Flute at the University of Agder, Jørn Schau. The idea was to bring together flute-students and flute-professionals from the Agder region in Southern Norway. All members are connected to the University of Agder in Kristiansand. The ensemble is constituted as a private company, led by Hege Katinka Ludvigsen and administrated by members of the ensemble. Agder University Flute Ensemble is the only permanent Norwegian flutechoir, and has a regular concert schedule that includes performances at festivals in Norway and abroad.
