Jørn Eivind Schau
Jørn studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo.
He has played with most Norwegian orchestras, and regularly with Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra since 1999. Jørn has performed recitals in Great Britain and all the nordic countries - several of them having been broadcast.
He also appears on a number of classical and commercial recordings. Recent years have been spent primarily devoted to teaching. He is frequently engaged as university guest-lecturer and gives masterclasses in Scandinavia and abroad. He has written articles on flute playing and has also been a contributor to several publications. Jørn is employed as Associate Professor of flute at the University of Agder, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Music.
